1. Whether you want to go to the Olympics, earn a college scholarship, or just learn a few basics of synchronized swimming while having fun, this program will provide you with a good introduction and a good, solid foundation.
2. A major portion of the program is a community service.* There is no monthly fee, no per-practice fee, no lesson fee, and for this pool, there is no pool fee. (So far, most pool practices are at a home pool--4521 Joyce Boulevard, Houston, 77084. If a practice is held at another pool, that pool may charge a fee.)

* Why is this a community service? Helping people participate in healthy physical activity contributes to a healthier population. In addition, improved water skills increase water safety in every community, and good exercise and good safety skills provide increased water fun.
3. Parents will be fully involved in program activities in a variety of roles.
==> All parents will find and create their own special ways to share their talents, skills, and interests. <==
==> All swimmers will have a parent poolside at all practices and events. <==
==> For newcomers, the poolside parent typically will be the swimmer's own parent. <==
==> Majors occasionally may have one parent serve as responsible adult for several participants. <==

5. Personal responsibility including making and fulfilling commitments is the “gold standard” for this program.
