Schedule and notes for Christmas--2017.
Saturday, December 2, DRESS REHEARSAL (weather permitting)
2-3:15p All participating swimmers plus a helper adult for each swimmer (NO guests, NO siblings, NO "friends") That is, if there are 21 swimmers, there are to be 21 adult helpers. The helper adult will help with costume and hair now. Help with makeup will occur a bit later. (Dads beware. If you are here, you help with these activities.)
- Start with organizing equipment in-and-under chairs.
- Next do costumes.
- Then do hair. Start by 100 long strokes brushing hair. This is to remove loose hair so it doesn’t form hair balls in the pool. Then, get instruction on buns, pins, and head pieces.
- Do not do any makeup at this time.
- Aim to finish all of this by 3p to begin practice.
3-3:50p (Still NO guests, NO siblings, NO "friends") We will run through the show several times dry. (Some parents may leave for this time as long as every swimmer has a “responsible adult” here at all times.)
3:50-4:05p Helper adults needed again (one helper adult for each swimmer) do makeup now.
At 4:10p all parents, siblings, and guests may come into pool area, set up chairs, take pictures, be seated. Those additional parents, siblings, and guests who arrive before 4:10p -- stay in car until 4:10p.
4:20p Dress Rehearsal Performance
4:50-5p Following the performance, guests are free to leave. ALL swimmers are to bring small snacks (from approved foods) and have snacks and water at this time. Please do not count on Elise for this snack or for water, and do not explain to Elise that the swimmer isn’t hungry or thirsty. This snack and water is the responsibility of each of the swimmers and their families. Following this short break, swimmers will continue practice.
5-5:50p additional swim through practice
5:50-6p double-check area is cleaned up including hair pins off of the bottom of the pool and around the concrete floor (under and behind chairs, etc.).
----Put costumes on the floor under your blue-tape chair. This may include hair piece, t-shirt, and/or soldier top. If you borrowed a black suit from Elise, it goes under your chair. If you borrowed a black suit, you can wear it home on Saturday. Please do not wash these borrowed suits. Elise reacts to most detergents, etc. Only one “complete” costume under each chair.
6p end of day’s practice
